BSF organizes marathon to foster community spirit

Tura, Feb 15 : The 100 Battalion of BSF Meghalaya hosted a Civic Action Programme at the Border Out Post Dalu, West Garo Hills on Thursday, with Sh Ajay Kumar Tiwari, Comdt 100 Bn BSF, presiding over the event.
The highlight of the day was a 3 Km Marathon race, which saw enthusiastic participation from students representing bordering schools. The primary objective of the marathon was to promote a healthy lifestyle and foster a sense of community spirit among the youth.
As a gesture to encourage sportsmanship, the winners of the marathon race were awarded bicycles and sports items. This initiative not only acknowledges the talent and dedication of the participants but also underscores the BSF’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for the holistic development of local youth.
The event garnered appreciation from local headmen and villagers.
