SHILLONG, Feb 16: In a move towards achieving a paperless Meghalaya Assembly, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will digitally present the Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 on February 21.
“It is a simple step. It is just that we are trying to reduce the usage of paper as far as possible, hence technology is being used. Instead of reading from a piece of paper now people will be able to see it online and read it on the instrument that has been given to use,” the chief minister said while speaking about the initiative.
“But it cannot be done in full 100 percent as of now, but it is a process that has started and hopefully in the coming years we will be able to completely go paperless” he added.
