Shillong, Feb 28: In an electrifying kickoff to the 2024 formula racing season, young sensation Jaden R Pariat from Meghalaya has made a remarkable mark on the national stage, clinching victory in an impressive five out of six races. The back-to-back triumphs occurred during the initial two rounds of the MRF MMSC fmsci Indian National Car Racing Championship, held at the renowned Madras International Circuit (MIC) near Chennai.
At a mere 17 years of age, Jaden Rahaman Pariat, fresh from a successful campaign at the British F4 championship in 2023, showcased his prowess by dominating the competition in Chennai. Securing wins in all three races of the second round, following up on his two victories from the previous weekend, Pariat displayed exceptional speed and driving skills, emerging as the fastest driver on the track throughout the racing days.
Having embraced Bengaluru as his second home in pursuit of his passion for motorsports, Pariat embarked on his racing journey with a debut in the Meco FMSCI National Karting Championship in November 2020. His meteoric rise continued as he vied for championship titles, culminating in a vice-championship finish in the fmsci X30 Nationals 2021.
Transitioning to open-wheel racing in 2022, Pariat competed in prestigious events such as the MRF LGB1300 Challenge at the Madras International Circuit and the JK Tyre National Racing Championship at Coimbatore’s Kari Motor Speedway. His talents garnered international recognition when he tested the Tatuus T-421 and participated in the British F4 races in the UK, achieving a notable second place in the rookies at Silverstone.
Representing Argenti Motorsports, Pariat’s podium finish in the ROKiT British F4 Championship at Donington Park in April 2023 further solidified his standing as a rising star in the racing world. As the first racer from Meghalaya to achieve an international podium in a Tatuus F4 car, Pariat’s achievements have elevated him to prominence on the global stage.
Having earned a coveted spot among the 25 selected participants in the Ferrari Driver Academy at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia, in September 2023, Pariat’s trajectory continues to ascend. With plans to continue his campaign in the Formula 2000 season and forthcoming announcements regarding his 2024 ventures in Europe and India, Pariat’s journey in the world of motorsports is one filled with promise and anticipation.
