Driver stabbed to death in Nongstoin

SHILLONG, March 4: Twenty-eight-year-old taxi driver Mcbornbonnyson Kharbani was allegedly stabbed to death at a taxi stand Kynroh in Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills, in the wee hours of Monday.
Police have arrested one Medius Mawlot for the purported murder of Kharbani.
Police said they received information that Kharbani, who originally hailed form Pathew, Pariong, in Eastern West Khasi Hills had been assaulted and was immediately taken to Nongstoin Civil Hospital. He, however, was declared brought dead.
Police then arrested the accused who hailed from Mawkaton village and took him for further action.
