Groups extorting from commercial vehicles in RB

SHILLONG, March 4: Members of some pressure groups are allegedly extorting money from commercial vehicles at a petrol pump in Umran, Ri-Bhoi. A reliable source revealed that the collection happens during the wee hours on a daily basis.
When contacted, Ri-Bhoi SP Jagpal Singh Dhanoa denied any knowledge of the same but stated that police would initiate necessary action.
