SHILLONG, March 12: The KHADC is likely to conduct the election to Wahadadar of the Shella Confederacy in the next one and half month.
Informing this in his reply to the Opposition UDP during the Budget session of the KHADC on Monday, Deputy CEM in-charge Elaka department Pynshngain N Syiem said that they have directed the acting Wahadar to submit the new voter list to the Returning Officer (RO).
He said the RO will invite claims and objections once he receives the new voter list. “We will then go ahead to finalise the new voter list for conduct of the elections,” Syiem said.
