Tura Public School celebrates 43rd anniversary

TURA, March 17: The Tura Public School, the only ICSE school in Garo Hills, recently celebrated its 43rd Anniversary cum Alumni Meet at its campus in Cherangre, Tura.
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Jagdish Chelani, who was the chief guest of the occasion, hoisted the school’s flag in the presence of Tura Municipal Board CEO Rikse R Marak, Additional Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills, Winje W Momin, former Principals of the school, retired teachers and office staff, alumni, sponsors, parents, teachers, office staff and students.
The highlight of the occasion was the release of the inaugural edition of the school’s magazine, ‘Miktoksi- A Symbol of Resilience,’ by Shri Jagdish Chelani along with Shri Pranab Bhowmik, Principal i/c, Tura Public School. Named after a white wild flower,Miktoksi, the magazine aims to encapsulate the journey undertaken by the school so far.
