Shillong, March 19: East Khasi Hills SP Rituraj Ravi today said that they have requested for 18 companies of CAPF and State Armed Police for deployment in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
Meanwhile, EKH district police have already started conducting checking and raids in view of the forthcoming election.
In a separated development EKH police have arrested one more person in connection with the recent IED blast at Harijan Colony. Altogether three people have been arrested in this connection so far.
