BSF distributes essential items in EKH village

SHILLONG, March 19: The 193 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday essential items among the residents of Purnanagar village in East Khasi Hills as part of its civic action programme.
According to a statement, the programme was inaugurated in a bid to ensure the welfare of the locals residing along the international border.
Commandant of 193 Bn BSF Meghalaya, Rajiv Kumar, who was part of the programme, spoke about the BSF’s commitment to community welfare and engagement.
During the programme, essential items were distributed among the community centres of the villages Betgora, Khaikona, Purnanagar, and Badrup.
Similarly, computers, desks and sports items were also distributed among school students in the presence of schoolteachers, headmen and nearby villagers.
