No nomination filed in state on Day 1

SHILLONG, March 20: No nominations were filed in Meghalaya for either of the two parliamentary seats on the first day of filing of papers on Wednesday.
Cabinet Minister and NPP candidate for the Shillong Lok Sabha seat, Ampareen Lyngdoh will file her nomination papers on Friday while VPP candidate Ricky AJ Syngkon will file his nomination on March 26.
There was no information on when RDA candidate Robertjune Kharjahrin and Congress candidate Vincent H Pala will file his nomination from the Shillong seat.
The political parties are also yet to announce the dates for filing of nominations for the Tura Lok Sabha seat by their respective candidates.
