SHILLONG, March 22: Former Speaker Bindo M Lanong has condemned the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Terming the arrest as shocking and intimidating, Lanong said that Kejriwal is one of the most successful chief ministers of India.
Stating that he has never heard of such a brutal treatment, Lanong said this is also a sign of intimidation towards those who do not toe their line with the BJP.
It may be mentioned that the 55-year-old chief minister was arrested by the ED on Thursday night under the anti-money laundering law from his official residence in the Civil Lines area of Delhi.
