Lajong edge out Langsning 3-2 in Shillong Premier League

Shillong, March 22: In an enthralling match held at the SSA Ground on Friday afternoon, Shillong Lajong FC secured a narrow victory over Langsning FC with a final scoreline of 3-2. The intense clash saw both teams showcasing their skills and determination, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
Shillong Lajong FC took the lead early in the game, with Deibormame Tongper finding the back of the net just three minutes into the match, setting the tone for an exciting showdown. Gladdy Nellen Kharbuli doubled the lead for Shillong Lajong FC in the 28th minute, further strengthening their position.
However, Langsning FC refused to back down and quickly responded with a goal of their own. Lukas Syngkli’s unfortunate own goal in the 8th minute provided Langsning FC with a lifeline, boosting their morale. The first half concluded with Overkindness L Mawnai scoring an equalizer for Langsning FC in the 45th minute, leveling the playing field.As the second half commenced, both teams intensified their efforts to gain the upper hand. It was Nelson Rymbai of Langsning FC who broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, putting his team in the lead for the first time in the match.
Despite Langsning FC’s resurgence, Shillong Lajong FC displayed resilience and determination. They launched a relentless offensive, seeking to reclaim their lead. Their efforts paid off when they managed to find the back of the net once again, securing a crucial goal and ultimately clinching victory.
