The Meghalaya Congress on Friday condemned the arrest of the Delhi chief minister and stated that the country has another avatar of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“This is a dangerous trend. After Vladimir Putin in Russia and Xi Jinping in China we have another Putin in India in the form of Modi,” Leader of Opposition Ronnie V Lyngdoh said, accusing the BJP-led NDA Government of adopting authoritarian means to crush all opposition.
He also pointed out how just weeks before the elections all the bank accounts of the Congress were frozen by the ruling party.
