SHILLONG, March 25: SPARK on Monday celebrated Holi with the underprivileged and deprived children by organising a programme with a slew of activities.
According to a statement, the celebration commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, which was followed by a prayer service by the children and a joyful dance.
Founder-cum-president of SPARK, Shima Modak, during the programme, explained to the children the essence of Holi celebration and encouraged the children to always follow the path of righteousness.
“This Holi celebration today brought immense gaiety as delighted children coloured not only their friends, but also their teachers and others taking part in the celebration,” the SPARK said in the statement.
