Top BSF official reviews security along border

SHILLONG, March 27: Additional Director General (HR), BSF, Ram Prasad Meena, on Wednesday reviewed the current security scenario and discussed various operational and administrative aspects of border management during his two-day visit to BSF Meghalaya Frontier, which concluded on Wednesday.
The ADG was welcomed by IG BSF Meghalaya, Harbax Singh Dhillon and other senior officers followed by a ‘Guard of Honour’ at Officers’ Institute, Shillong. Further, the IG briefed the ADG about the current security scenario along the Indo-Bangla border.
ADG Meena also called on Chief Secretary DP Wahlang and Meghalaya DGP Dr LR Bishnoi on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the ADG visit concluded after addressing officers and jawans during a Prahari Sammelan at Frontier HQ Umpling, Shillong, and visiting the under-construction composite Hospital building at Mawpat, Shillong.
