Shillong, April 1: The CMD of MeECL Sanjay Goyal today said that the retrofitting work of the Umiam dam will be completed by May even though the scheduled completion of the work is in the month of June. He also said that the life span of the bridge would increase by 30 -35 years because of retrofitting work.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya Government is spending around Rs 4 crores to conduct the lidar exercise. As of now, the Shillong Airport can accommodate only ATR 72 flights
