Shillong, April 3: East Khasi Hills SP, Rituraj Ravi on Wednesday informed that security had been beefed up following the arson attempt at Mawlai police station here by unidentified miscreants.
Informing that as many as five miscreants hurled petrol bomb around 2:40 am in the police station premises, he said that a case had been registered and investigation was on. Pointing out that this came soon after the arrest of two KSU members in coonection with Ichamati twin murder, he said police were investigating into the arson attempt from that angle.
