East Khasi Hills inter-school athletic meet from April 24

Shillong, April 5: The East Khasi Hills District Athletics Association is set to host the much-anticipated East Khasi Hills District Level Inter School Athletic Meet, 2024. Scheduled to take place from April 24-26, 2024, at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), STC, Shillong, on the North Eastern Hill University (N.E.H.U.) campus, this event promises to be a showcase of young athletic talent.
Open to students under the age categories of Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 for both boys and girls, this athletic meet offers a platform for budding athletes to display their prowess on the field.
Notably, college students under 18 years of age are also eligible to participate in this esteemed competition.
To secure participation, interested individuals must complete an entry form, adhering to the specified format, and provide a recent passport-size photograph with their name clearly marked on the back. A soft copy of the entry form should then be submitted to the designated phone number: 8974000664.
The deadline for submission is April 16, 2024, with no entries accepted beyond this date.
With a maximum of two entries per event and relay, in accordance with the standards set by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), participants can choose from a variety of track events, including 60m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, and 600m races. Athletes are permitted to compete only within their respective age groups.
Furthermore, a unique addition to the event lineup is the Medley Relay, featuring a 1000m sprint divided among four runners, with each runner covering a specified distance.
Ahead of the main event, all participating athletes will undergo an Age Screening Test on April 22, 2024, at the Mawlai Mawroh Indoor Community Hall near P.H.C Mawroh, commencing at 10:00 A.M.
Original birth certificates must be presented during the screening test to verify age eligibility.
