Annual sports meet culminates in Ri-Bhoi school

UMSNING, April 6: Sati Raja Memorial Secondary School, Umsning Patarim, on Friday concluded its three-day Annual Sports Meet 2024 with a display of grandeur and enthusiasm.
The closing ceremony, hosted by Augustine Kharsyntiew, guided the audience through the memorable moments of the event.
School headmistress Balakyntiew Umbah, in her speech, appreciated the support from various individuals towards the institute’s mission.
As part of the annual sports meet, winners from different houses who participated and won in various categories were also felicitated with prizes as a token of encouragement and appreciation.
Kiang Nangbah House had clinched the title of Best House during the event.
The sports meet was attended by Young Minds president Isynei Hinge as the chief guest, while Banrilin Lyngdoh, Block Resources Coordinator of Umsning, attended the same as the guest of honour.
The event was also attended by NPYF Ri-Bhoi president Pyndaplang Wahlang, Project Manager of ICICI Foundation Wanbor Khymdeit, among others.
In their addresses, both the chief guest and the guest of honour emphasised the importance of education and holistic development.
They also encouraged the students to excel in their studies and foster cooperation with their teachers and school authorities.
