CAHO declares Bethany Hospital as Centre for Quality Promotion

SHILLONG, April 7: Bethany Hospital, Shillong, has been designated as a Centre for Quality Promotion by the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), India, marking a significant milestone as the first in the Northeast and the 37th nationwide recognised for its steadfast dedication to quality healthcare and patient safety.
This recognition was announced during a two-day international healthcare conclave in Kolkata, attended by noted figures like Governor of West Bengal, Dr CV Ananda Bose, and prominent healthcare leaders from around the globe.
As a Centre for Quality Promotion, Bethany Hospital commits to championing and implementing the standards established by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) and National Accreditation Body for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) in the region, while committing to enhancing healthcare quality and patient safety.
Quality Manager and Spokesperson for Bethany Hospital, Dr Kyntiewlang Sanmiet, expressed immense pride in the acknowledgment by CAHO, emphasising the hospital’s core values centered on delivering top-notch healthcare and ensuring patient safety.
