Meghalaya Blind Football Team qualifies for Natl level tourney

TURA, April 8: The Meghalaya Blind Football Team has been selected to participate in the National Blind Football Tournament to be held sometime this year, after it won the NE Zonal Blind Football Tournament held recently at Aizawl, Mizoram.
The tournament which took place from April 2 to 6 was organized by the Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF).
Meghalaya remained unbeatable in the tournament where it squared off against teams like Nagaland, Assam and Mizoram.
Klingson D Marak and Johnborlang Pyngrope were named the highest scorer and Emerging player of the tournament respectively.
