Baladiang H. Hynniewta Hadem has been awarded PhD from the Department of Anthropology, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, for her research titled ‘Maternal and Child Nutritional Status in Relation to Socio-Demographic Factors among the Khasis of Sohra Area in Meghalaya’, which she carried out under the supervision of Prof R. Khongsdier. She is the daughter of S Hadem and LD Nalle, wife of A Lyngdoh and a resident of Umpling, Shillong.
