Seven skilled chefs go to war as Hills on a Plate makes its debut

SHILLONG, April 25: Hills on a Plate: Meghalaya Chef Wars has made its debut on JioCinema, featuring chefs from Meghalaya competing head-to-head for an exciting top prize. The series offers viewers an immersive journey through Meghalaya, showcasing its vibrant flavours and rich traditions.
In the first episode, titled ‘MEET THE 7,’ seven skilled chefs from various backgrounds set the stage for intense competition. Subsequent episodes dive into different regions of Meghalaya, such as the Jaintia Hills and Garo Hills, exploring their cultural and culinary heritage.
Judged by Sarah Todd of MasterChef Australia, Ardahun Passah, and William Diengdoh, and hosted by Gordon Thabah and Abigail Pamei, the series features contestants including Artet Kharsati, Ivan Suting, Adonijah Lyngdoh, Daei Suchiang, Tanisha Phanbuh, and Nambie Marak.
Viewers can expect mouthwatering creations inspired by local ingredients and age-old recipes, set against the backdrop of Meghalaya’s landscapes.
Through encounters with locals, visits to cultural landmarks, and immersive experiences in traditional cooking methods, viewers will gain a deeper understanding of the soul of Meghalaya.
