MHRC notice to DGP on custodial death

SHILLONG, May 1: The Meghalaya Human Rights Commission on Wednesday directed Director-General of Police, Lajja Ram Bishnoi to submit a report on the death of gangster Rudra Rabha inside the lock-up of Khanapara police station on April 26.
The MHRC issued the notice after taking suo-motu cognizance of the custodial death of Rudra Rabha a day after his arrest in connection with possession of arms.
