In view of the water scarcity in localities under Tura Municipality area, the West Garo Hills district magistrate has issued restrictions for the operation of car wash servicing centres. An order in this regard, which comes into force with immediate effect, has directed the car wash servicing centres to operate only on Mondays and Thursdays. The order further prohibits the servicing centres from using borewells.
