3 from SWKH in police net on homicide charges

MAWKYRWAT, May 3: A total of three persons have been arrested by the Mawkyrwat in connection with the murder of a 27-year-old man from Nongbah Marhillong village, located 3 kilometers from Mawkyrwat in South West Khasi Hills District.
It may be mentioned that on April 2, villagers had discovered the body of one Pynskemlang Lyngkhoi near a paddy field at Riatthawlong under Mawkyrwat village on the way to Marshillong village.
The body had injury marks on the neck, right hand, and other areas.
Speaking to The Shillong Times, South West Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police GD Kharwanlang informed that the police, following the autopsy Report confirming a murder case, arrested three individuals.
“So far, we have arrested three people in which, the last one was arrested today, and the case is still under investigation,” Kharwanlang said, assuring that all the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
Meanwhile, the arrested individuals have been identified as Paul Andrew Lakiang (24) from Mawkyrwat village, Michael Wanniang from Marshillong village, and Ricky Paul Snaitang from Nonglang village — all hailing from South West Khasi Hills.
