Event
The College of Post-Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam, (Central Agricultural University, Imphal), will organise ‘AGRIVISION: 1st Zonal Convention-North East Bharat on Futuristic Agriculture for Atmanirbhar Bharat in the Eastern Himalayan Region’ on May 17 and 18. According to a statement here, the event will be conducted at the college campus in collaboration with Vidyarthi Nidhi, Assam Agricultural University-Jorhat, Assam and ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Umiam.

Conference
The St. Edmunds College Model United Nations (SECMUN) conference will be held on at the college premises on May 6 and 7 from 9: 30 am onwards. According to a statement here, the conference will serve as a platform for young minds to engage in meaningful discussions and debates on global issues, simulating the proceedings of the United Nations.

Apps
The Executive Director, State Disaster Management Authority, Meghalaya, has suggested the general public to download weather warning apps, viz. Mausam App, Damini App or Meghdoot Agro App, developed by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). According to a statement here, the apps will keep the general public informed about the weather conditions, and prepare them to deal with floods during monsoon season.
