DC asks EGH officials to be proactive on people’s issues

TURA, May 10: East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Vibhor Aggarwal on Friday suggested officials from the district to be proactive and to give due attention to the complaints and grievances of the residents.
The DC said this during a meeting of the Grievance Redressal Cell in Williamnagar on Saturday.
During the meeting, he accentuated the need to convene the meeting of the Grievance Redressal Cell, while informing that the cell has received complaints and grievances of the residents of the district.
Aggarwal argued that such grievances need immediate and timely attention from the district officials.
It is pertinent to note that the Grievance Redressal Cell of the district has received complaints pertaining to Public Works Department, Community-led Landscape Management Project, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Integrated Child Development Services Scheme, District Rural Development Agency, Legal Metrology, Education Department, Tourism Department, Social Welfare Department, Fisheries Department, C&RD Blocks, etc.
