IIM Shillong placements record highest CTC of Rs 71.50 LPA

Average CTC stands at Rs 26.10 LPA

SHILLONG, May 10: Rs 71.50 lakh per annum (LPA) is what turned out to be the highest cost to company (CTC) that was recorded during the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong’s Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2022-24!
According to a statement here, the average CTC of the 2022-24 PGP batch stood at Rs 26.10 LPA.
During the 2022-24 PGP batch, the 283-student class had received employment offers from 87 recruiters in a variety of fields such as Consulting & Strategy, Finance, General Management, Human Resources & Operations, IT & Analytics, and Sales & Marketing.
“The placement statistics showed a change, with improvement observed across all categories. High median CTC of 25.67 LPA has made IIM Shillong one of the preferred among the premier institutions,” the statement said.
“The top-10 per cent of students secured an average CTC of 43.15 LPA, top-20 per cent secured an average CTC of 38.43 LPA and top-50 per cent stand at 32.39 LPA,” it added.
For the 2022-24 PGP batch, Consulting & Strategy emerged as the most sought-after domain, accounting for 31.5 per cent of all offers extended.
On the other hand, the Finance sector domain accounted for 28.8 per cent, while Sales & Marketing made up 21.2 per cent of the overall offers received.
Similarly, while the Human Resources and Operations domain accounted for 8.5 per cent, the General Management domain accounted for 5 percent of placements this year.
The IT & Analytics domain, on the other hand, accounted for 5 per cent of the placements.
“The highest CTC offered was 71.50 LPA, with Consulting & Strategy and Finance domains receiving the highest CTC at 46.05 LPA,” the statement said.
