National Lok Adalat settles 124 cases

SHILLONG, May 11: A total of 124 cases were on Saturday settled during the National Lok Adalat, which was organised by the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), across all districts of the state.
According to a statement here on Saturday, the total number of cases taken up during the National Lok Adalat was 735, out of which 401 were pre-litigation cases, whilst 334 were pending cases.
Out of the total number of cases, 124 were settled for Rs 87,49,876.95.
