IIM Shillong’s Summer School prog concludes

SHILLONG, May 13: The second edition of IIM Shillong’s ‘Summer School on Teaching and Research’, organised for young faculty members from the Northeastern region, concluded recently. Organised by the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis, IIM Shillong, this initiative was aimed at enhancing the academic landscape by nurturing teaching and research capabilities.
The programme equipped participants with essential tools, strategies, and best practices, aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by IIM Shillong Director, Prof DP Goyal, faculty members, et al, marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to fostering excellence in teaching, research, and professional development.
With the participation of 55 faculty members representing 18 institutions, the programme showed renewed vigour and commitment.
During the programme, Prof Goyal emphasised the noble role of faculty in shaping the future, highlighting teaching as a profoundly impactful profession.
