Students benefit from skill devp prog at NEHU

SHILLONG, June 6: A skill development programme, which aimed at enhancing student employability and personal growth, was organised by the Department of Education, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, in collaboration with Meghalaya Together, a non-profit organisation.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof BB Kharbirymbai, Head of the Department of Education at NEHU. Following the address, the distinguished members from Meghalaya Together were felicitated. The guests included Vegonia Nongpluh, secretary of the organisation, H Dutta, joint secretary, and resource persons D Joshi, Roshni Subba, and Prof D Walia.
The programme was activity-based and generated significant enthusiasm among the participants.
The first session featured an ice-breaking activity led by D Joshi, setting a lively tone for the day. This was followed by a lecture on time management by Roshni Subba. Prof D Walia then delivered an insightful talk on leadership and management, which participants found highly beneficial.
In the second half of the programme, Prof BB Kharbirymbai delivered a talk on personality development, which was followed by an engaging activity led by D Joshi that participants thoroughly enjoyed. H Dutta concluded the lecture sessions with a well-received talk on communication skills.
The programme concluded with a brainstorming session conducted by D Joshi, followed by a prize distribution and certificate ceremony.
