AAP’s Somnath Bharti refuses to shave head
NEW DELHI, June 9: Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti, who had earlier vowed to shave his head if Narendra Modi becomes prime minister again, on Sunday refused to make good on his promise.Bharti said Modi’s third term was not solely his own but rather a result of consolidated efforts of allies part of the NDA.“I stated that I would shave my head if he were elected for a third term. However, he has not won on his own, he has won the election with the support of his alliance,” he said. Bharti had ahead of the results announced he would shave off is head if Modi becomes PM for the third time. (PTI)

Two run over by train while taking selfies
NASHIK, June 9: Two teenagers were run over by a train while they were taking selfies and shooting reels for social media on a railway track in Maharashtra’s Nashik district, an official said on Sunday.The incident occurred on the railway track near the Valdevi river bridge on Saturday evening, the official said.The victims, Sanket Kailas Rathod and Sachin Dilip Karwar, were shooting reels and taking selfies on the track and didn’t notice the train behind them, he said.The boys died on the spot, the official said, adding that on being alerted about the incident, the railway police rushed to the scene. CBI arrests senior official of NHAI for graft
NEW DELHI, June 9: The CBI has arrested NHAI general manager Purushottam Lal Choudhary, posted in MP’s Chattarpur, in a Rs 10 lakh bribery case.Six other accused were also arrested in the bribery case on Saturday evening.The accused were receiving bribes for the final handing over as well as the issuance of a no objection certificate and processing of the final bill of the Jhansi-Khajuraho Project awarded to the said private company by the NHAI. (PTI)
