North Liberty School to play state level U-17 Subroto Cup

Jowai, June 24: The North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai will represent West Jaiñtia Hills District at the state level of Subroto Cup U-17 after they defeated Government Boys Higher Secondary School Jowai 2-0, at Kiang Nangbah Stadium Ladthadlaboh here on Monday. The goals scored by Jinial Rasmut (8’) and Rio Marboh (39).
In the U-15 Girls event, North Liberty Higher Secondary School scored 7 goals past Kiang Nangbah Govt. Higher Secondary School, Jowai. The match ended 7-0 as Deigratia Dan (9’, 44 and 48’) scored a wonderful hat-trick, with Peaceful Pohplet (25’), Alisha Pyrtuh (48’) and Eiladki Ksoo (56’) also finding goals for their school.
Meanwhile, Dominic English Upper Primary School beat St. Dominic Higher Secondary School Mowkyndeng by 1-0 to become the overall winner in the U-15 Boys category. Aibor Wahlang (7’) scored the only goal of the match.
