SHILLONG, June 24: An X-ray Unit facility was inaugurated at the Smit Primary Health Centre (PHC) by Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh on Monday.
Addressing the inaugural programme, the health minister said that apart from inaugurating the facility, she also wanted to see the work progress at the PHC.
It may be mentioned that the health minister was, few months ago, requested by the Dorbar to upgrade the Smit PHC to CHC.
On the occasion, she also requested the Health Department officials to follow up on the proposal of the Dorbar.
Meanwhile, she also urged the doctors at the PHC to work in tandem with the Dorbar Shnong for smooth functioning of the PHC.
