One hurt in Ri-Bhoi road mishap

NONGPOH, June 25: An unidentified man was rushed to Byrnihat Primary Health Centre (PHC) on Tuesday morning after he was found with serious head injuries.
The accident took place at 15th Mile on National Highway-6 in Ri-Bhoi district.
Upon noticing the person, the incident was reported to the Byrnihat police by the passersby at around 8 am.
According to preliminary findings by the police, the injured person was a pillion rider who had fallen off a scooty.
The man was left injured on the road while the scooty’s rider fled the scene.
