Cultural event
Geetali will organise a cultural evening titled “Madhumoy Ganer Mohomoy Sandhya” at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong, on August 4. Two well-known artists Padma Palash (winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023) and Sarojini Ghosh will perform at the event.
Religious prog
Sanatan Dharmasabha (Harisabha), Laban, Shillong, will hold ‘Rath Yatra’ and replacement of Idol Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra will also be made. A daylong Puja will be performed on July 5. Biswakarma, Nabagraha, Chandi, Chanting of Hymns, Laxmi Narayan, Shiva, Durga, Bishnu, Bastu, Brahma and Santi Puja will be performed along with special yagna programme. On July 7, Rath Puja and Kirtan will be performed along with Bhog distribution followed by pulling of chariot.
Medical camp
A medical camp was organised by NEIGRIHMS at Sohryngkham village in East Khasi Hills on Monday. Cabinet Minister Comingone Ymbon, who attended the medical camp, lauded the medical team for their dedicated services. The medical team of NEIGRIHMS comprised medical specialist, child specialist and emergency medicine doctors besides nurses.
