DC urged to look into damages caused by rain

TURA, July 4: The A’chik State People’s Front (ASPF), a newly formed Garo organization from South Garo Hills, has sought the intervention of the district deputy commissioner in the recent damage caused by the continuous heavy rainfall.
The organization urged immediate action to deter further damage to public property and loss of lives. Pointing out that the pending completion of the Baghmara-Rongara Highway has resulted in soil erosion along the entire stretch that led to road blockages causing inconveniences to commuters, the organization urged the deputy commissioner to look into the matter.
