Tura, July 7: The Achik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima (ACHIK) Rajabala unit has urged authorities to construct a subway system connecting Dolgure to Bazamara, even as work on a new bridge between the two towns is currently underway.
As per the unit, the bridge project, expected to be completed soon, aims to provide a critical road link between Dolgure and Bazamara which often gets disrupted during the monsoon season. However, the ACHIK Rajabala Unit believes that a subway system would provide a more reliable and efficient mode of transportation, especially during the rainy season. Local residents have welcomed the demand, citing the frequent disruptions in transportation services during the monsoon season. “We often get stranded during the rains, and a subway system would be a blessing,” said a local resident.
