Open Pre-Selection Bench Press Competition concludes

SHILLONG, July 8: MuscleXcess and Fitness Gym, in collaboration with the Meghalaya Powerlifting and Fitness Association, successfully conducted the Open Bench Press pre-selection event on July 6, 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation from all over the state. The competition was categorized into multiple weight classes for both male and female participants.
Arkidonlang Nongkseh was named Best Lifter Male, while Larisa Momin and Suman Sherpa were awarded the Best Female Lifter and differently abled category prize respectively.

Female Categories:
47 weight category: Alicia Dora Syiem (Highest lift – 52.5 kg); Zamarime Kurkhalang (Highest lift – 30 kg)
52 weight Category: Kernisha Syiemlieh (Highest lift – 55 kg)
57 weight Category: Marry Syiemlieh (Highest lift – 55 kg)
63 weight Category: Larisha Momin (Highest lift – 57 kg); Siimon Pathaw (Highest lift – 45 kg)
69 weight Category: Marieda Banti Dympep (Highest lift – 60 kg); Aiei Bani Lyngdoh Nonglait (Highest lift – 60 kg); and Deiphi Banri Lyngdoh (Highest lift – 57.5 kg)
76 weight Category: Clarisa Marbaniang (Highest lift – 42 kg)
Above 76 Category: Batrity Niangmih (Highest lift – 55 kg)
Male Categories:
53 Category: Benison Marwein (1st), Andrew Mylliem Umlong (2nd), and Rijoysing Shabong (3rd)
59 Category: Kiron Biswas (1st), Banshanborlang Bareh (2nd), and Wicky Mawlong (3rd)
