ANTF nabs four in city; heroin seized

SHILLONG, July 13: The Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF), East Khasi Hills, on Friday apprehended four persons, including two women, in the city with contraband items.
According to a statement here, the arrest was made at the Fire Brigade area under Laitumkhrah Police Station.
The four people who were nabbed by the ANTF have been identified as Kai Khaio Hao (62), Gracy Dawman (40), Pholneilam Kipgen (34) and Plalcha Khongsai (31).
The items that were recovered from their possession and subsequently confiscated were 34 soap boxes containing 411.99 grams of heroin, five mobile phones, and two waist straps.
Meanwhile, a case in this regard has been registered and an investigation is under way.
