Bethany hospital gets expanded dialysis unit

SHILLONG, July 13: The Bethany Hospital, Shillong, has announced the inauguration of its newly expanded dialysis unit, featuring a capacity increase of 10 state-of-the-art machines.
According to a statement here, beneficiaries of the MeghaHealth Insurance Scheme (MHIS) could also avail the benefits of haemodialysis covered under MHIS, ensuring that this vital treatment remains affordable and accessible to all patients.
“We are delighted to unveil our enhanced Dialysis Unit, equipped with advanced technology imported from Italy to provide optimal care for patients requiring dialysis. This expansion reinforces our dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of our community,” remarked Dr. Kyntiewlang Sanmiet, RMO in charge of the Dialysis Unit and Spokesperson of Bethany Hospital.
