WJACA hosts state cycling selection trial in Jowai

Jowai, July 14: On Saturday, the West Jaintia Adventure and Cycling Association (WJACA), in collaboration with the Meghalaya Cycling Association (MCA), hosted a State Selection Trial at Khliehrymphum Jowai.
This event was a pivotal opportunity for participants to showcase their skills and earn the chance to represent Meghalaya in the 2024 MTB Championship next month.The competition featured several categories, including Junior, Sub-Junior, Youth, and Elite for both men and women.
The winners from each category emerged as follows: Junior Category – Dalenmi Sana, Riboklang Lyngdoh Nonglait, Hubat Chuangsha M. Marak. In Sub-Junior Category – Daohi Dkhar, John Rodrick B. Shadap, Mark Amazing Khyllait. In Elite Men Category – Kevin Jon Khyllait, Lambormi Phawa, Sharailang BasaiawmoitIn Elite Women Category – Phyrnai Kyndait. In Youth Category – Kevin Lyngdoh Sangriang, Ewandame Mark Syiemlieh, Kerry Wahlang.The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Biangpor Shylla, President of the West Jaintia Adventure & Cycling Association; Aibanmanbha Shullai, Headman of Ladthadlaboh; Rtn. Rudolf E. Laloo, President of the Rotary Club Jowai; and Stranger Lamare, Headman of Khliehrymphum, among others.
