Three children drown in well
Raisen, July 21: Three children, including two brothers, drowned in an open well sans a protective wall while taking a bath in Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district on Sunday, police said. The deceased belonged to the same family, it was informed. Another girl, who was accompanying the three children, informed their family members about the incident. (PTI)

Boy dies while shooting prank reel in MP
Morena, July 21: An 11-year-old boy died after he tied a noose around his neck while shooting a prank reel for social media in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, police said on Sunday. A purported video of the incident that took place in Ambah town on Saturday evening surfaced on social media, the police said. A case has been registered, and a probe is underway, they added. (PTI)

Woman, her daughter-in-law electrocuted
Jaipur, July 21: A woman and her daughter-in-law were electrocuted while working in a farm in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district. Police said Manbhar Devi (60) and her daughter-in-law Seema Meena (34) were working in a farm on Saturday night when a wire broke and fell on them. A hut in the farm also caught fire due to the current and a cylinder kept there exploded. (PTI)

Internet, SMS suspended ahead of Braj Mandal Yatra
Chandigarh, July 21: The Haryana government on Sunday ordered suspension of mobile internet and the bulk SMS services in Nuh district for 24 hours ahead of the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra that was marred by violence last year. The internet service in the district will remain suspended from 6 pm Sunday to 6 pm Monday, according to an order by Haryana Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Anurag Rastogi. (PTI)

Man sentenced to five years RI for sexually assaulting minor
Thane, July 21: A court in Maharashtra’s Thane district sentenced a man to five years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl in 2022. Special judge D S Deshmukh on Saturday convicted the accused, a resident of Diva, of charges under the POCSO. The accused was sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment, and a fine of Rs 10,000 was imposed on him. (PTI)
