Former official K K Muktan passes away

Shillong, July 29: K K Muktan, MCS (retired),  HM Shangpliang, Adviser to the Govt of Meghalaya, passed away today after a prolonged illness.
He was 94. He had retired from Meghalaya government service as Director of Fisheries.
After his retirement, he wrote many books and prominent among them were: Original History and culture of Tamang People, The Comprehensive history of the Nepalese in North East India volume I, II, III, Indo Nepalese Socio Cultural Dimension etc.
His funeral service will be held on July 31 in his residence at Alpine Villa, Rngi Jynriew, Nongthymmai.
