KVS’ 53rd Regional Sports Meet kicks off

SHILLONG, July 29: The prestigious 53rd Regional Sports Meet, KVS Silchar Region was kicked off with great enthusiasm and grandeur at KV NEHU, Shillong on Monday.
The event was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU).
The opening ceremony was marked by a vibrant parade by the participating athletes from various Kendriya Vidyalayas under Silchar region. The athletes showcased their spirit and readiness for the competitions ahead. The NEHU VC, in his address, emphasized the importance of sports in holistic education and encouraged the students to exhibit Sportsmanship and strive for excellence.
The sport meet includes a variety of events such as Athletics, Football and Archery. The sports meet will continue for three days till July 31, 2024. The KVS Silchar Region’s 53rd Regional Sports Meet promises to be an exciting and memorable event celebrating the talent and sportsmanship of the young participants.
22 Kendriya Vidyalayas under Silchar Region along with 395 students from different states are participating in the event.
