Training prog
A linguistic training-cum-tourist facilitator programme will be organised by the Destination Management Committee, Office of the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, Shillong, in association with the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Camp Shillong, Meghalaya. This is being done in connection with Swadesh Darshan 2.0. Scheme, wherein Shillong and Sohra have been identified as two destinations in the state for the progamme. The programme is scheduled for August 8 to August 30 for Shillong destination, while for Sohra, it will be held in the month of September.

Natl award
Centre has instituted an annual national award called ‘Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar’ in the field of Disaster Management. In this regard, applications have been invited for the award in a bid to recognise and honour the excellent work done by individuals and institutions who are engaged in providing selfless service to the society in the field of disaster management. The application process can be initiated online via https://awards.gov.in. Last date for filling up of applications is on August 31.
