SHILLONG, Aug 2: The much-awaited Miss Meghalaya 2024 and Miss Teen Meghalaya 2024 pageants are scheduled to take place at the Lariti Multipurpose Hall, Mawkasiang, on Saturday.
Organised by Meghalaya Tourism and the Department of Arts and Culture, the event will be attended by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Arts and Culture Minister Paul Lyngdoh as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
The event is further supported by Atomy India as the Beauty Partner and Lakme Academy Shillong as the Makeup Partner, ensuring that contestants present their best selves.
This year, a total of 38 contestants will participate, with 19 competing for the title of Miss Meghalaya 2024 and another 19 vying for Miss Teen Meghalaya 2024.
The winner of Miss Meghalaya 2024 will secure a direct entry to Miss Universe India 2024, while the first and second runners-up will represent Meghalaya in Miss Northeast 2024.
The winner of Miss Teen Meghalaya 2024, on the other hand, will go on to represent Meghalaya in Miss Teen Diva 2024 in Jaipur.
