Govt gets nod for Paro Airport visit

SHILLONG, Aug 5: The state government has received approval for the purpose of visiting the Paro International Airport in Bhutan this week to study the logistics at the airport.
The disclosure was made when the matter pertaining to expansion of the Shillong Airport was taken up for hearing by the High Court of Meghalaya on Monday. The counsels appearing for both sides stated that approval has been obtained for the purpose of visiting the Paro Airport this week.
At the request of the concerned parties, the high court posted the matter for hearing on August 12.
