East Khasi Hills District Yogasana Sports Association organised its fourth District Level Yogasana Sports Championship 2024-25 on Saturday under the aegis of Meghalaya Yogasana Sports Association. According to a statement, the event, which was participated by 45 athletes from the district, was supported by the District Sport’s Office, Shillong, and YESS Meghalaya.

The Manipuri Elders’ Consortium Shillong, a conglomeration of different Manipuri civil organisations in Meghalaya, will commemorate Patriots’ Day to mark the Anglo-Manipur War of 1891. According to a statement here, the programme will be held at 8:30 am on Tuesday at Asom Kristi Kendra, Dhankheti.

According to a statement here, the audition will be held at 12 noon on August 31 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong. “Contestants will have to bring high heels, apply light make-up and figure-hugging outfits are necessary. Forms are available at Hotel Centre Point, Khyndai Lad, Shillong,” the statement said, adding that the interested candidates will have to be 5’3’’ tall and above.
